VERY PURE AND REFINED COD LIVER OIL FOR VETERINARY USE
It is a top quality and highly energetic product that can be integrated within the daily ration. It doesn't contain any preservatives, antioxidants or additives. Thanks to its purity, it is indicated for organic farms since it's 100% natural. The vitaminic content is entirely natural. No synthetic vitamins added. It is very refined and thus has the aspect of a very clear oil that doesn't smell much and that doesn't taste fishy. Irreplaceable for both domestic and livestock animals. Contains a generous portion of OMEGA 3 to promote the proper and functional development of the brain, eye retina and nervous tissues; furthermore, such vitamin, when combined to other substances, improves the immune system's effectiveness. Codfish liver oil contains a large amount of Vitamins A and D. It is very effective in limiting the deterioration of cartilage and in slowing down the biological processes that generate bone issues. All of the vitamins mentioned help the processes that bring calcium to the bones. The product makes hair soft and shiny and promotes the growth of nails and hoofs. The oil has a large amount of unsaturated fatty Acids. As a result, it is helpful in many dermatological disorders, such as dermatitis, dandruff and eczema. Such disorders may be due to a lack of fatty acids. In such case, codfish liver oil can prove to be a valid ally in combination with the traditional remedies used to buffer such issues.
Very pure veterinary cod liver oil. Raw material for feeds (Class 10.4.6). Oil extracted from fresh ocean codfish liver and from other "Gadidae" fish: by extraction, centrifugation and cold filtration. Product of animal origin, "Category 3" (EC 1069/2009 Regulation). Produced in accordance with the IFSA (Feed ingredients standards). Produced in accordance with the EU Regulation: • 277/2012 (dioxin, furans and dioxin type PCB). • EU Regulation 744/2012 and Directives 2002/32/CE (heavy metals) as amended on February 10, 2009. 100% pure. Given its purity, it is recommended for organic farming.
The Vitaminic content (A - D3 - F) must be as reported below (Pharmacopeia). A much higher amount indicates that the Oil isn't entirely natural, but rather integrated with synthetic vitamins. Such integration implies that the product would not be 100% natural, although still considered a "feed supplement" by law.
PURE and TOP QUALITY Veterinary Cod Liver Oil must comply with some specific parameters:
a) it must not be extracted from farmed fish, but only from healthy ocean codfish livers
b) it must be straw-yellow and transparent (a different color, such as dark or reddish, indicates high acidity and/or vitaminic oxidation)
c) it must have a low acidity (< 1.0%) level. This parameter, which indicates the percentage of Oleic acid, is the main indicator of quality. The more acidic and the poorer the quality of the oil.
d) it must not contain any other type of oils (fish, seeds, etc.), aromas (lemon, orange, etc.).
e) it must not smell bad, be colored, rancid or separate at room temperature
f) it must comply with the European standards and EC directives on feeds.

VITAMIN "A" and VITAMIN "D"
These are the natural types of vitamins; they are different and more effective than the artificial types that are used in synthetic blends. They aren't stable whenever extracted from their oil, but in this one, they are very digestible and fully used by the organism. Their percentage is the balance needed for a natural and optimal use without any issues of any kind.
Promotes the growth of the body and muscles and favors the health and appearance of skin, hair and hoofs. It defends the integrity of mucous and ensures greater resistance against bacterial and viral infections. The most common symptoms of a vitamin "A" deficiency are: rickets, respiratory diseases, joint issues and rheumatic disorders, teary eyes, reduced night vision, general weakness, reduced resistance against infections, variable appetite and nail issues, including thinning, fragility and breakage, which could induce foot infections.
Allows the body to use Calcium and Phosphorous to make bones. The most common symptoms of vitamin "D3" deficiency include: weakness of the bones, frail bones, bone diseases and spontaneous bone fractures, especially in fast growing animals.
UNSATURATED OILS, POLYUNSATURATED OILS AND OMEGA 3
These are the essential components of a good Cod Liver Oil. They are very liquid and precious oils for all animals. The body needs these special polyunsaturated Omega 3 oils to build energy and grow. Omega 3s are present in the most valuable fish oils, especially in Cod Liver Oil. The latter has the following characteristics: it is highly energetic and digestible (which is why it is a natural conveyor of Vitamins), it confers greater resistance against physical or reproductive fatigue, it increases the metabolism and it thus promotes growth while binding the iodine, which is indispensable for a healthy body.
HOW AND WHEN TO USE THE CODFISH LIVER OIL
One must immediately discard the idea that the Oil must only be administered in the winter, or - even worse - to fatten animals. Generally, the following uses can be highlighted: A) To pregnant animals that need vitamins and energy, but also to ensure regular pregnancies and well-developed offsprings that can start growing under favorable conditions. B) For the regular growth of farm animals or for the rapid growth of livestock; when there is a high energetic need, while ensuring a healthy skeleton that can support the weight of the adult animal (for fattening and farm animals), it is absolutely essential. C) In case of poor Vitaminic intake with dry foods (hay or grains), in the event of low sun exposure, but also in case of animal weaknesses and symptoms of vitamin deficiencies. D) As a re-energizer for farm animals, such as horses or dogs during the periods of increased efforts, in order to allow them to maintain their physical strength and striking appearance. E) Orally or by local administration, to make skin and hair soft and renewed, especially in case of surgical hair removals, wounds, abrasions or sores. As an adjuvant in the treatment of broken, thinning or fragile horse hoofs, whether given as a food or as a local application (for this, a specific top quality fat called "Super Gel ADF," based on Cod Liver Oil, is available).
